Susan Schreibman is Professor of Digital Humanities and Director of An Foras Feasa at hte National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Previously, she has been the Director of the Digital Humanities Observatory (a national digital humanities centre developed under the auspices of the Royal Irish Academy), Assistant Dean for Digital Collections and Research, University of Maryland Libraries, and Assistant Director of the Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities. She is an editor of the influential Companion to Digital Humanities and author of numerous articles on textual editing. Her research in the Digital Humanities ranges from text encoding and the creation of digital scholarly editions, to more recent interests in Virtual Worlds and Data-mining.
