The New York Times

After almost three decades of tearing up the church circuit, the nine-member Jones Family Singers—father, daughters, sons, grandson and friends—are reaching a global audience with their ecstatic gospel-funk. With force-of-nature vocalists and a vintage R&B rhythm section, the singers have wowed at SXSW, Lincoln Center and beyond with spirit-lifting, hip-shaking “high-energy performances [that] are the living embodiment of the indelible connection between the black church and its rock and soul offspring” (Austin Chronicle).

Programmed in collaboration with Dartmouth’s MLK, Jr. Celebration.

Funded in part by the Robert Grinnell Fund for the Hopkins Center.
