Sociology Alum Matt Gannon publishes research in Journal of Urban Affairs

Matt Gannon ’22, recently published his first peer reviewed academic study in the Journal of Urban Affairs. In this paper, Matt shows that the ending of the national eviction moratorium during the COVID-19 crisis led to a sharp uptick in food insecurity among renters, with the largest negative impacts among the most vulnerable social groups. Matt Gannon is a Predoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland. His research is focused on poverty, homelessness, and social policy. Matt graduated from Dartmouth in 2022 with a degree in Sociology and Film and Media Studies.
