Princeton University’s Center for Health and Wellbeing (CHW) hosted five visiting scholars this academic year to conduct research on a wide range of global health issues, from the opioid crisis to food insecurity, the long-term health consequences of housing instability, and links between environmental exposures and birth defects.
The visits were arranged and funded through CHW’s Visiting Research Scholars Program, which invites faculty from leading institutions around the United States and the world to spend up to 12 months in residence at Princeton. While on campus, visitors focus on research, discussion, and scholarly collaborations concerning the determinants of physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing along with the impact of public policy on health and wellness. This often includes presenting their work in various forums, mentoring students, and advising senior theses.
