Jessica Calarco is a Sociologist and Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her examines the intersections of privilege, power, and policy, with a focus on inequalities in education and family life. She is the author of four books, including Negotiating Opportunities: How The Middle Class Secures Advantages in School, A Field Guide to Grad School, Qualitative Literacy, and, most recently, Holding it Together: How Women Became America’s Safety Net.
