    On a Saturday afternoon in September, the kind of day most college students would spend sprawled on a quad, soaking up the moments that still feel like summer, the Dartmouth Asian American Student Collective was getting organized. Its members had gathered to finalize a mission statement and a petition to circulate across campus. Their goal? Persuade the administration of Dartmouth College to create an Asian American studies program.

  • Congratulations Sujin Eom - 2022 SAH IDEAS Research Fellowship winner

    ASCL faculty won the 2022 SAH IDEAS Research Fellowship Sujin Eom, a faculty member in Asian Societies, Cultures, and Languages (ASCL), has received the 2022 SAH IDEAS Research Fellowship, a new award intended to support a cohort of five emerging scholars whose research challenges existing paradigms and represents previously under-recognized and/or unsupported directions for architectural history.

  • Courses to Integrate Human-Centered Design

    LSA Rome visits the Liberation Historical Museum

    The Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning (DCAL) and the Design Initiative at Dartmouth (DIAD) are partnering to offer training and course development grant funding to faculty wishing to infuse interdisciplinary design methods into their courses. In its inaugural cohort, the program is engaging six faculty teaching courses in winter and spring terms 2022 to bring new design-based experiential learning opportunities to their students.

    Published in the Concord Monitor 12/1/2021 5:18:55 PM New Hampshire girls have made strides in recent years, especially in math and science proficiency, a new report shows, but some challenges still exist that female students are facing far more than their male peers, particularly poor mental health and bullying, and enrollment in technical education. For Black and Hispanic girls, and those who live in rural areas, those challenges are even more likely.
